The Castle is still undergoing restorations.

The rebuilt parts have preserved the historical role of the Castle, addressing two tasks - within the limitations established by the law: the residence of the Family and the services to the public by means of social initiatives - national and international - aimed at the strategic development of the territory.

Invited and sponsored by the Province of Udine, on may 10, 2012, the Centre of Historical Studies Giacomo di Prampero - whose logo is indeed the image of the Castle di Prampero, has introduced there the first initiative of the program "The Castle di Prampero, a Fortress not Clung onto a Rock” which, funded with a contribution by the Central Directorate for the Production Activities, Service for the development of the regional touristic system, will be carried on in several historical places of the region. Actually, by choosing to project continuously the DVD ‘Bayern und Italien’ - production of the Bavarian TV, with subtitles in Italian - and presenting the volume 'Afro e il Castello di Prampero', the Centre claims to promote for touristic purposes the bavarian origins of the castle and the figure of Afro Basaldella, who chose the Castle as his private study for twenty years. On the evening, the invited guests have reached the Chapel of St. Margaret beneath, for the popular worship ceremonies of Rogazioni.

On July 22nd the Chapel of St. Margaret has been opend to the public for the traditional feast on the 4th Sunday of July in honor of the Patron Saint.

The Castle will be open to the public:
