The Castle, the Chapel of St. Margaret and a part of the hill is property of Pietro Enrico di Prampero. The property is committed by binding clauses, Law June 1, 1939 no. 1089, also in force of the art.21 of the same Law.

Being the heart of the di Prampero possessions, the Castle is one of the most remarkable witnesses of the history of Friuli, having given distinguished men to the fields of Political, Military, Cultural and Church Affairs for roughly a thousand years. Under the architectural, environmental, landscape and monumental profiles, it is an excellent heritage, because of its refined and powerful elegance.

The current philological reconstruction, which is apparent even to the layman non-expert people, it is of topmost interest to the scholars.

The St. Margaret Chapel is a subject of sincere popular worship by the habitants there around, who traditionally get together for the 'Rogations' during may; in honor of the Patron Saint the 4th Sunday of July; recently, also for the pignarul (epiphany fires) - organized by the Pignarulars of Prampar - on January 6th.

It is of special interest the fact that between 1961 and 1976 the Castle was rented by Afro Basaldella, who established therein his residence and study in Friuli.
